Moms have served important roles in Scouting for years and today they help power the Scouting lifestyle.
Just think of their contribution to Scouting. Every den meeting led, patch sewed, ride provided, skinned knee doctored, smelly shirt washed, campout attended and advice dished out reinforces the point that Scouting wouldn’t exist without them.
But most important, moms encourage their sons to give Scouting a try and for this we are so grateful. Without a mom's encouragement and leadership, millions of boys would miss out on the many adventures and life lessons that define the Scouting experience.
It's been said that an Eagle Scout receives the award but it's usually an amazing Scout Mom who shares in the credit.
Scout Moms, we love you!
