What's It Like to Be a Scout Mom?
"It is great to be a Scout Mom! As a den leader, committee member, and parent, I get to experience the benefits of Scouting from all different perspectives. It is wonderful to see my sons grow and experience great adventures, but I also get to see the boys in my dens grow."
What do you like most about being a Scout Mom?
"I love being a part of the experiences of my sons. I get to see them learn, grow, lead, and experience new adventures."
How has Scouting changed your relationship with your son?
"Scouting has allowed me to have shared experiences with my sons. From camping, pinewood derbies, visiting PSR or Camp Berry, or attending a district camp out or day camp, I have gotten to be a part of these experiences and memories. That's priceless!"
What would you tell a mom asking for your advice about becoming a Scout Mom?
"Being a Scout Mom is a great way to be involved with your child. There are many ways to get involved in Scouting- from being a den or scout leader to helping to plan and organize events or run a fundraiser- and all let you be involved, demonstrate the great rewards of volunteerism, and contribute to a program that enriches."
