About this Mom...
My mom is Hardworking, Kind, Obedient, Trustworthy, Courteous, Thrifty, Loyal, Helpful, Clean, Brave, and Reverent. She also spends a lot of time helping and caring for others. She helps my brother and me earn our adventures and goes to our den meetings with us. She looks for other things we can do as Scouts so we can meet new Scouts from other packs. I like Scouting with my mom.
What's it like to Be a Scout Mom?
"I love being a Scout Mom! I am so proud to be a part of my boys' Scouting experience, watching them turn into fine young men. And, it's a great excuse to act like a kid again. Our family motto is, "If I can try it, so can you" - and that includes holding snakes at the Nature Center."
What do you like most about being a Scout Mom?
"I love that I have found a special way to bond with my three sons doing something we all enjoy. Both my boys and myself have developed new friendships within our Scouting family. I am so proud of my sons and the boys in my Den and Pack, it's rewarding to watch them truly enjoy themselves and look out for each other."
How has Scouting changed your relationship with your son?
"Scouting has given me an outlet to spend quality one-on-one time with each of my boys. It has allowed us to try new things together and to learn valuable lessons all while having fun. As my son's grow I feel that Scouting has also helped us establish more trust within our relationship."
What would you tell a mom asking for your advice about becoming a Scout Mom?
"Don't be afraid, channel your inner child! Kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself. The boys will have more fun when they see you having fun too."
