Stacie Rudolph

rudolphAbout this Mom...

When describing Stacie Rudolph as part of a Scout Mom nomination, the nominator wrote: "She is amazing!"  Stacie has three boys in Scouting. Besides all her responsibilities as a mom and a working mom, she finds the time to volunteer and be a Scout Mom. "She and her husband work side by side so the Scouts have fun activities and they do an amazing job leading the pack. Our community is blessed to have leaders like her."

What's It Like to Be a Scout Mom?

"Being a scout mom is very rewarding. Watching my boys grow up and learn new life skills and trying to live by the scout oath and law makes my heart melt. Walking through a parking lot and hearing your 1st grader ask if they can pick up a piece of trash because someone didn't follow " leave no trace " reminds me that scouting is teaching my boys great things."

What do you like most about being a Scout Mom?

"What I like most about being a scout mom is the time I get to spend with my boys. I also love the friendships that we have made in our 7 years of scouting. We are all like one big extended family. I love planning events and making memories that my boys will hopefully remember forever."

How has Scouting changed your relationship with your son?

"As a mom of three boys, I often thought about how I was going to bond with them. When our first son joined Scouts as a Tiger I was hesitant to join as a leader but the Pack was desperate for help so my husband and I both agreed to become leaders. After the 1st meeting I was hooked. I knew this was going to be "our thing". Seeing the smile on my sons face when I told him the two of us were going on a Mom and Me campout together was priceless. All the hugs and thank you's I got that 1st campout were worth more than anything. I am fortunate enough to be able to help all 3 of my boys on their Scouting journey. They all love that their mom helps out with meetings, goes camping, plans events and that they get to help too. Scouts has brought me closer to all 3 of my boys and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I now have a Wolf, a Webelos 1 and a 2nd Class Boy Scout . I am excited to continue on this great adventure with my husband and our 3 boys."

What would you tell a mom asking for your advice about becoming a Scout mom?

"I would tell the other moms to jump right in! Your Scout will be so thrilled to see you take interest in the program. Scouting isn't just for the dads...the moms are just as important and it will mean the world to your children. It's so rewarding and the memories you make will last a lifetime!"
