"Being a Scout Mom is an adventure. I have experienced so many things through my Scout's eyes. Watching my daughter learn and grow through Venturing and my sons learn and grow through Boy Scouts has been so rewarding and so important to their development. It has given me increased confidence that they can succeed in whatever goals they have."
What do you like most about being a Scout Mom?
"I especially appreciate the leaders involved with Scouting that have been such an important influence on my children. They have been great role models, which was especially important after the death of my husband."
How has Scouting changed your relationship with your son?
"Scouting has allowed me to watch my children grow in responsibility and ability. Scouting has given me the opportunity to support and encourage them in their development and to see them live out the Scout Oath and Law. This has promoted respect between myself and my children."
